Three in a row over the division leaders, this time on Hoffpauir walk-off
SYRACUSE | The Chiefs had three hits through seven innings.
Jarrett Hoffpauir’s walk-off single was the twelfth hit of the night for Syracuse.
The Syracuse Chiefs picked up their third-straight win over the first place Pawtucket Red Sox at Alliance Bank Stadium as Koiye Hill trotted to the plate in the bottom of the eleventh inning with the winning run.
Hill hit his first home run since coming into the catcher-depleted Washington organization with a third inning solo blast.
The Chiefs rallied from a 4-1 deficit with back-to-back two-run rallies in the eighth and ninth.
Syracuse has four eight-plus game hitting streaks still intact after the extra inning win: Brett Caroll (who had the night off), Corey Brown, and Carlos Rivero all have nine-game streaks, while Xavier Paul is up to eight-straight with a knock.
